Web Analytics Becoming More Important

Post Category: Internet Marketing

The search engines are constantly changing and evolving. Right now they are trying to make their search results more personal as a user can move listings to the top, delete them, and post a comment about a listing just like you can on blogs.

Google has said they are changing the way they provide results and it shows by some of the things that are coming out. Matt Cutts of Google was asked if search engine rankings were dead and he said “I would not say they are dead, they are just not as important”.

So this does raise the question of why are rankings not as important as they were. It is because that people can now customize the way they want their search results displayed.

This change in the search engines makes it even more important for website owners to make their websites user friendly and engaging so that users want to stay on them, bookmark them, and share them with their friends and even write excellent reviews and comments about your company.

This is where web analytics is going to become even more important in the future as they have been. All website owners must know what is actually happening with their website and understand the data. Google has a free service called Google Analytics that everyone who has a website should use.

Understanding where people are coming to your website from, how long they are staying, and how many pages they view is crucial information to know. This is why Google has created a service for website owners to use to collect this data.

IUSHER web applications are perfect for those business owners who are serious about wanting to make their website more effective at drawing in visitors attention and keeping them on the website. This software is vital to improving the analytics of any website by decreasing bounce rates and improving how a user moves around the site by knowing what to do and where to go.

Whether you use the video spokesperson to welcome a visitor to your website or an exit usher to keep a visitor on your website longer or a search box to help the visitor find information quickly so they do not get frustrated and leave are all designed to improve the analytics of the website.

As the data of a website gets better and better the rankings of the website will increase and the users visiting the website will enjoy a much more enjoyable experience. Search engine optimization will highly depend on the analytics of a website here in the new year as the search engines continually make changes.

I definitely agree that understanding where your customers are coming from and how long they stay is very important information.

Why spend the time getting people to a website that they don’t even want to stay on.
